Malaysian residing in Singapore can actually renew their Malaysia Passport at the Malaysia High Commission in Singapore.

The documents to produce for the Passport renewal as below (from www.kln.gov.my)

  1. Original & photocopy of Malaysia Identity Card
  2. Original and photocopy of Singapore PR Identity Card/ Employment Pass/ Dependent Pass/ ‘S’ Pass/ Work Permit/ Student Pass/ Long Term Pass as proof of residing in Singapore.
  3. Current International or Restricted Passport if available.
  4. Holders of Temporary Identity Card JPN.KPPK 09 need to produce their Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate during application.
  5. Holders of Temporary Identity Card JPN.KPPK 11 have to be certified by the National Registration Department and need to produce their Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate during application.
  6. Malaysian parents who have renounced their Malaysian Citizenship are required to bring ‘Annex A’ of citizenship renunciation and their Singapore Identity Card.

As for the public transportation to the High Commission Office, the nearest MRT station would be Tiong Bahru station and Redhill station (Green MRT Line – East West line). RM 200.00 – Adult (13-59 years old)

Renew Malaysia Passport for Malaysian Singapore PR

For Malaysian holding Singapore PR you need to transfer re-entry permit from old to the new Passport. You can do so via Electronic Re-Entry Permit System (e-REP) with Singpass or in person at Permanent Resident Services Centre located at 5th Storey, ICA Building 10 Kallang Road (Next to Lavender MRT station) Singapore 208718

You do not need to pay any fees to transfer your REP and most applications can be processed within one (1) working day.  However, some applications may take a longer time.
